Naruto || Anime Review

Naruto was released on 3rd October 2002. It is one of the “Big Three” in the anime industry. When people question whether it’s a good show or worth watching I can only say its amazing, not just because of its hype but because of the story, the characters, the moral lessons, plot development and the character development. 

Naruto is basically divided in two, first being titled Naruto and the other as Naruto Shippuden. The first Naruto series depicts his younger life and how he struggled with being alone, his journey of making friends, discovering his Ninja way, and deciding his future to become the ‘Hokage’. The first series shows his childhood, his innocence, how adamant he is on his statements and his dark past. 

The series moves forward as its second instalment rolls out as “Naruto Shippuden”. The word Shippuden is used as a depiction of his surname ‘Uzumaki’ which means Hurricane. The second series consists of 500 episodes making it a very long series. Having 500 episodes is not a joke but these episodes show how important friendship is, how you should always be kind because you never know what a person is going through and how being optimistic can change your view of the world. It shows that by being persistent you can always achieve your goals, yes, you’ll make mistakes but you should learn from them and always move forward. It’s okay to sometimes stray from your path and give up but after some time the realization will hit you. For those who are able to do that at an early stage are lucky but for people who don’t, it is devastating. So that is what we see in this series, Naruto being the anchor of Sasuke, helping him no matter the circumstance. 

This anime sets standards for friendship. Well, the series is not always in a serious tone along with the emphasis on friendship, it’s funny, naïve and shows how each succeeding generation has the ability to bring out the best revolution. 

So, if you are looking for something that lasts a long time or something that gives you hope this series is a match for it.
